I would primarily describe myself as a printmaker who enjoys exploring other visual art forms, though since starting my MA, I haven’t had as much time to create. Despite my pivot towards the arts, my love of geology persists, and many of my works are informed by my background in earth sciences. Portfolio Link Here.
While printmaking in undergrad, I gained experience with technology such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Bridge, exposure units, fume hoods, laser engravers, and laser cutters (the latter may have caught on fire…). I’ve also been fortunate to use a Direct-to-Garment (DTG) printer to print my own designs on t-shirts and have some experience in stop-motion animation. Though I’ve been introduced to some of the technology we are using in this course, I am definitely not an expert. I look forward to both refamiliarizing myself with tools I’ve used before and trying new ones, so I can one day apply them in the classroom.
